Weekly Photo Challenge: Rise/Set

This week’s photo challenge is Rise/Set (Click on the link for other interpretations of the theme).

I take far more photos of sunsets than sunrises, as I usually get up after the sun has risen.

Sunsets over water are particularly magical. The Georgian coastline faces west over the Black Sea where the sun sets.

Sometimes when I am travelling I will see a sunrise. Here is the sunrise at Istanbul Sabiha Gökçen Airport, taken through a plane window.

Sunsets can make the drabbest of urban landscapes a touch magical.

Weekly Photo Challenge: Windows

This week’s challenge asks “Windows: What do you see through yours?”

We have moved to a new flat and have yet to put up curtains. Facing west we catch a few sunsets, if we are in the room at the right time of day. You can also see a few of my diecast cars lined up on the window sill, awaiting proper shelves to be put up.
